Terms and Conditions
Please note that this is a preliminary set of Terms and Conditions and a full set of Conditions are currently being compiled by our legal advisers.
To become a Member of Brookwood Pottery you may either pay a one month, no contract required, upfront payment of 220 euro or avail of our monthly contract. This contract is a for a minimum of 3 months. Each Member will sign a registration form agreeing to our terms and conditions prior to their first session at the Pottery. Please read these terms properly, you must understand and agree to these terms before becoming a Member.
Membership On receipt of your first payment, we will confirm by personalised email your membership of Brookwood Pottery. A Member cannot bring another person to the studio during Open Access time or class, they must either become a Member or prebook a class with us. Payments for Memberships and Classes are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in these Terms and Conditions. Any Member who purchases our monthly studio subscription is entitled to use the Studio for up to 15 hours in any Week. Weekly hours may not be carried over. Additional hours over these 15 hours will be charged at 10 euro per hour. Membership fees must be paid in accordance with these Terms and Conditions irrespective of whether or not the Member uses Brookwood Pottery facilities. Payments for Sessions and gift certificates in any amount are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in the Terms and Conditions. If a course is bought and only part used there will be no refund available for the remaining Sessions.
Members can pay online upfront for 1 months subscription with no contract for 220 euro. A cheaper 3 month contract is available at a rate of 195 euro per month (1st month payable online and next 2 months payable by Direct Debit or Standing Order) payable at the beginning of each month. We will require email confirmation of this payment facility having been set up. Brookwood Pottery is not responsible for the termination of any standing order that runs beyond the contract agreed to. If a Member does not pay his Membership fees for the Minimum Membership Period (or cancels his Membership during the Minimum Membership Period) then the Member is liable in full for the difference between the rolling monthly rate at the date of termination and the price paid by him under his subscription. Memberships, once the contract is started, are non-transferable and cannot be shared.
Studio Opening Times Brookwood Pottery will be available for open access for the following days: Tues 10 - 6 pm Wed 10 - 8 pm Thursday 10 - 8 pm Friday 10 - 6pm. Saturdays and Mondays are reserved for Classes and events at the Pottery, Sunday is our day of rest ! We reserve the right to close for holidays and when deemed necessary and will endeavour to give at least 12 hours notice.
Bookings and Cancellations of Sessions and Classes You must give at least 24 hours notice to change or cancel a private class or lesson. Sessions and Classes are booked on a first-come first-served basis.
Healthy and Safety Potteries are dusty environments with sharp objects, hot kilns and hazardous materials. Users do so at their own risk and we accept no liability for injury or fatalities as a result of using our facilities. Members must follow instructions from Brookwood Pottery technicians.
Cleaning The biggest danger in a pottery is silica dust in order to minimise this risk each member is required to engage in a minimum of 20 minutes cleaning during their session at the Pottery. Failure to do so can mean a cleaning fee for members. Please follow the instruction of Brookwood Pottery staff at all times with regard to best studio practice.
