This porcelain stoneware platter is inspired by weather charts and forecasts that I watched as a child. In Ireland we are an island nation and the weather is variable to say the least! We say we have "4 seasons in one day" - that makes us kinda obsessed about weather forecasts and there was absolute hush in our house when the weather forecast came on the TV. The name "Winds Light to Variable" popped into my head from a Goon Show comedy sketch my brother used to mimic. The Goon show were a really inventive post WWII radio comedy troupe led by Spike Milligan.
That's the history behind this platter, I hope you like it....
Size 22 x 22 cms approx.
Slight Second - Has one dot of black on the surface, tiny defect!
