Hand made by basket maker Sarah Jenkinson in Galway, these bird feeders are sculptures in their own right. Sarah selects the correct width of willow which she soaks in water to make pliable before weaving these strands together. This bird feeder is both functional and sustainable and as she says herself, a beautiful alternative to plastic.
It measures 13 cms at the top and 39 cms in length. Looking at the weave and patterns the willow makes is restful in itself!!
