Pick 2 pieces per student which will be fully glazed and fired.
What to Expect:
A full day of throwing on an electric pottery wheel with unlimited clay in a working pottery. Your tutor will give you a tour of the pottery and explain how pottery is produced. They will give a general demonstration and then will guide each student individually to centre. We ask that each student watch at this stage until all students have been shown. Then students are free to practice under the tutor's guidance for the rest of the day. The class finishes at 3.30 when students will clean their wheel and tools and pick their best 2 pots which we will glaze and fire for you.
What to Bring:
Please bring an apron and a small towel to dry your hands. Lunch is from 1 - 2 pm so you can bring your own or visit the many cafes in the area including @ pups and Kennedys, (5 min walk away)
How to get there:
Take the 15, 14, 27 130, 42 and 43 bueses fromt he city centre to Fairview. Otherwise take DART to Clontarf and walk 8 min walk approx.
Parking:
There is paid parking directly outside of the pottery
Workshops Rescheduling & Cancellation Policy
Unfortunately, no refunds are given. Please make sure that you, or the person you are giving the workshop to as a gift, can attend the workshop.
If you cannot attend the workshop we can reschedule your workshop if you inform us up to 3 weeks before the workshop's start date. If you request to reschedule less than 3 weeks before the workshop starting date we will not be in a position to change the date. You can give the workshop to someone else if you cannot attend yourself. Please email us as soon as you can before the course with the name and contact details of the person attending.
