Botanical artist and stone sculptor Sonia Caldwell lives in Skibereen in County Cork.
Her 2024 calendar features a series of watercolour illustrations of IRISH BUTTERFLIES and the native plants they depend on. Many of our native butterflies rely solely on native flowers and plants to get nectar from and also to lay their eggs and provide food for the larvae (caterpillars). Some butterflies rely on just one type of plant for their survival. This calendar depicts many of these in a seasonal look at our native butterflies and flowers.
