Snowdrop Earrings with Fresh Water Pearl by Saw Framed
Saw Framed is the brainchild of Cork jeweller Hannah McGrenara. Hannah studied sculpture in the Crawford College of Art and Design and credits this and her Taiwanese heritage with her strong design sense.
She writes: 'While doing Fine Art Sculpture in Crawford College Art and Design in Cork I discovered my love for metal, I specialised in large welding pieces and continued to draw with pen on paper.
My family are from Taiwan, we came to Cork in 1994 to study English and we settled here ever since. I truly believe training with Chinese Calligraphy at a young age helped with my steady hand for ink drawings and welding/soldering. Hopefully my love for Asian culture and cuisine shows through my work too.'
